Boat trips, paddling, paddle boarding, ice-cream noses, fish and chips, cliff-top picnics, going home with sandy toes…
Cornwall has been a top pick for family holidays for generations – and it just keeps getting better. In Cornwall, you and your family can enjoy a proper, outdoorsy adventure together.
FOR A FAMILY STAY
Check in to your comfortable room, with all the beds made up, and all the extra equipment you asked for in place. Just what you need after a journey with the kids. Our family rooms are designed to be flexible. The zip-and-link beds can be twins or a king, while some rooms have sofa beds. There’s space for an extra single zed-bed or a cot – and there’s still plenty of room when these are in place. If you’re on holiday with little ones, let us know. As well as a cot, we can make sure there’s other handy equipment in your room, like baby baths, cold-water sterilisers or a toddler toilet seat. Please just ask.

FOR FAMILIES
If you need a bit more space, our Woodland Lodges are ideal for larger families and older kids – and anyone else who loves an outdoor adventure.
Find these Scandi-inspired lodges among the trees at The Cornwall. They have large, open-plan living rooms, complete with TV, DVD and WiFi, and a dining area on the glass-fronted balcony. Outside, you’ll find plenty of space to hang those wetsuits and prop up the body boards, and some lodges even have outdoor hot tubs.
Choose from two or three bedroom self-catering lodges. As with our rooms, we can add a cot for tiny travellers, as well as other useful equipment like baby baths and potties (please ask when you book).
Families staying in our lodges also get free entry to the spa, leisure facilities and swimming pool, as well as access to our beautiful country estate. That should use up some energy…
AT THE CORNWALL
The Cornwall Hotel – a natural place for a family holiday.
For many families who come here, the best thing (apart from the comfy room and fabulous food) is the 43-acre estate.
Where kids are concerned, The Cornwall’s parkland is nature’s adventure playground, full of places to explore and discover. There’s a trail for younger children (please ask at reception), while older children can simply explore the freedom to enjoy the great outdoors. As well as the woods and pathways, there’s also a children’s play area.
Fancy a splash around? Our infinity swimming pool is open for families from 9am until 6pm (7pm in the school holidays). You can also book a session on one of our outdoor tennis courts.

ESPECIALLY FOR KIDS
All that sea air and exercise makes young tummies rumble… Here at The Cornwall, we have a great kids’ menu, with favourite dishes made from the same fabulous local ingredients as the main menus.
Mini fish and chips is just the thing after a day at the beach, especially when followed by ice cream or a brownie. There are always veggie options, and plenty of tasty fruit and veg (we’re optimists). Take a look at our children’s menu
