Lots of space
Business fairs need space, and we have plenty of that at The Cornwall! There is the hotel itself, and 43 acres of beautiful parkland, making it a great venue for a marquee. We don’t have a massive ballroom-style space; however we do have a series of airy reception rooms, which really help to break a trade fair down into smaller, more intimate spaces, making it more engaging and less intimidating for both delegates and exhibitors.
Unlike a conference, a business or trade fair doesn’t always require a suite of meeting rooms. However for talks or demonstrations, there are several rooms you can choose from. The Coode Room is The Cornwall’s dedicated business room, and we have a range of other spaces you could use. Above all, we’re flexible.
Food and drink
Trade fairs usually don’t go any further than providing tea and coffee – but it will be excellent tea and coffee! On a sunny day, The Parkland Terrace is a lovely overspill area for refreshments. If you want to provide your delegates with anything more substantial than a biscuit, just let us know – we have several options, and can create a buffet to suit you and your budget. (Great food = longer dwell-time…)
Lots of help
Our business customers have the support of an assigned member of our team, who are there to make sure the clients have everything they need. It can be tricky running an event away from your own place, so having onsite help can be help to take the pressure off. They can help with everything from IT needs to refilling the coffee.
Yes, it’s a pretty small detail, but it matters. The Cornwall is close to St Austell and is easily accessible by road, and has plenty of parking to suit events of any size. That’s a great advantage over town-based venues. You can also get right up to the buildings for unloading and loading.
